Tomma is a Project Assistant at TEPSA. She primarily supports the supply of external academic expertise to the European Parliament’s Committees and Subcommittees in the field of EU external relations, covering issues such as foreign policy, the Middle East, development, human rights, security and defense.

Tomma has a legal and policy background focused on EU external action and human rights. She holds a BA in European Studies from the University of Amsterdam, where she majored in EU law and focused on human rights in security contexts. She further holds an LL.M. in International and European Law from the University of Amsterdam, specialising in Public International Law.

Before joining TEPSA, Tomma completed a traineeship at the European Commission in the field of humanitarian aid and European civil protection. She further worked as a legal researcher for Seeds for Legal Initiatives in Beirut, Lebanon, primarily on issues related to gender equality and peace building.
