TEPSA was a beneficiary of an Operating Grant awarded in the framework of the Europe for Citizens Programme of the European Union for the period 2018-2020. Within its work programme, TEPSA organised a number of events both in Brussels and in the Member States, in cooperation with its member institutes. The Operating grant also supported the statutory activities of the TEPSA Secretariat, such as the meetings of the governing bodies and TEPSA’s communication activities.
The Europe for Citizens operating grant was, during its implementation period, the backbone of TEPSA’s activities, and supported all of our flagship initiatives, including the flagship ‘EuropeChats’ video series in which we discuss contemporary challenges and issues in EU affairs with leading experts, and the publication of our annual book in the ‘Future of Europe’ series in which each new volume edited by Michael Kaeding, Johannes Pollak and Paul Schmidt collects 40 analyses of national attitudes to a given policy challenge from across the European continent.
TEPSA’s Pre-Presidency Conferences, biannual events in which we discuss the challenges and opportunities facing each incoming Presidency of the Council of the European Union, as well as the regular Recommendations from members of the TEPSA network to each new presidency, were also a part of the work programme co-funded by this grant.
