TEPSA University Debate: EU Equality Policy hosted by Comenius University in Bratislava

BRUSSELS, 2/12/2021: In the framework of the European Parliament Multi-annual Work Programme for Grants in the area of communication and, more precisely, within the project “European Policies for You”, TEPSA has organised, with its partner institute, a University Debate aimed at involving young students in the EU debate of Equality Policy. The event is taking place on December 2, 2021, at 10am (CET).

TEPSA aims to raise citizens’ awareness of EU policy-making, engaging Slovak students in discussions about the work of the EU and the EP in the area of Equality Policy.

The debate, moderated by Michaela Dénešová, a PhD candidate at Comenius University, will be attended by Robert Sermek, the Head of the European Parliament Office in Slovakia, Michal Šimečka MEP from the Renew Europe Group in the European Parliament, and Youth Activist Zuzana Hozlárová.

In this debate, TEPSA aims to create of a discussion regarding actions promoting equality among the youth and how they can and will influence the EU in directing its effort to combat discrimination. This will create a community of European citizens who are well informed about the EU and its work, and who are equipped with the critical tools to engage in an informed debate about some key policy areas.
