Brussels, 03.02.2025: The Trans European Policy Studies Association (TEPSA) has started a new EU-funded project titled “Fast track to citizens’ engagement in the EU – ExpressEU”.
The project, which is an Operating Grant funded by the European Commission’s Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) programme, will be implemented over the course of three years. The first implementation period will run from 1 January to 31 December 2026.
The project aims to create channels for communication, cross-border exchange, and mutual learning among citizens, experts, and policy-makers. It does so by raising awareness on the functioning of the European Union (EU) and the key challenges it faces, producing analytical output to interpret current affairs, and providing opportunities for training and capacity-building on key subjects of EU affairs. These activities aim at engaging audiences at all levels of specialisation across the European continent, with a special focus on youth.
The ExpressEU project will offer continuity to TEPSA’s flagship initiatives, including TEPSA’s bi-annual Pre-Presidency Conferences and Recommendations to incoming Council Presidencies, its EuropeChats video talks, the ‘Future of Europe: Views from the Capitals’ book series, the TEPSA Academy and Skills Lab, and the quarterly Experts’ Debriefs. The programme also includes innovative new formats, such as accessible, fact-based audiovisual products, events, and written outputs that offer insight into European democracy and how it materialises in Europeans’ day-to-day life.
In implementing the project, TEPSA will continue to collaborate extensively with its growing network of 50 Member Institutes across Europe, spotlighting the leading research outputs it produces and facilitating trans-European linkages and communities of knowledge.
