Brussels, 11/02/2026 – TEPSA is proud to announce its new Board, whose three-year mandate took effect at the beginning of 2026.

TEPSA’s Board members have been elected at the Pre-Presidency Conference in Nicosia, Cyprus in October 2025, and will play an instrumental role in guiding the association’s announces the strategic direction. Working closely with the network and the Secretariat, TEPSA’s Board members will contribute to achieving TEPSA’s mission, expanding the reach of its network and interacting with citizens and decision-makers across Europe. Through their input in the organisation’s decision-making, including on membership, pursuit of projects, external relations and outreach, their role is to steer TEPSA toward its long-term goals.

The new TEPSA Board comprises representatives from leading European institutes including:

• Prof. Dr. Giselle Bosse, Full Professor at Maastricht University and Visiting Professor at the College of Europe;
• Prof. Dr. Kārlis Bukovskis, Director of the Latvian Institute of International Affairs and Associate Professor at Rīga Stradiņš University;
• Dries Callens, tax officer at Belgian Federal Public Service Finance;
• Prof. Dr. Danijela Jaćimović, Professor at the University of Montenegro;
• Prof. Dr. Erik Jones, Director of the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies at the European University Institute and Non-resident Scholar at Carnegie Europe;
• Prof. Dr. Pernille Rieker, Director of Arena Centre for European Studies;
• Paul Schmidt, Secretary General of the Austrian Society for European Politics;
• Prof. Dr. Marco Siddi, Leading Researcher at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs, Associate Professor at the University of Cagliari, and Adjunct Professor at the University of Helsinki and University of Tampere;
• Prof. Dr. Ilke Toygür, Director of the Global Policy Center and Professor at IE University;
• Prof. Dr. Richard Youngs, Senior Fellow at Carnegie Europe.

On the election of the Board members, Prof. Dr. Lucia Mokrá, Chairperson of the Board, commented, “Excellence in policy advising and research on EU topics, bringing together the best of the best. The new Board mirrors the quality of the oldest EU network and its Member Institutes. I am honoured to work with them in these challenging times.”  

TEPSA’s Secretary-General Jim Cloos also added, “TEPSA: 51 years, 50 members across the EU and around, a thriving network: the new Board gathers diversity, competence and enthusiasm and will take TEPSA to new heights.”
