TEPSA’s EU@Work Summer Seminar on the European Neighbourhood Policy

On 9-12 July, TEPSA organised a summer seminar on the European Neighbourhood Policy in Brussels, at the heart of EU politics.

Funded by the Europe for Citizens programme of the European Commission, this 4-day seminar offered 17 excellent Master students and graduates an opportunity to gain first-hand insights from researchers, EU practitioners, policymakers and officials on the current state of play and future prospects of the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP).

The seminar was organised under the academic lead of Prof Frank Schimmelfennig (TEPSA & ETH Zurich) and combined expert lectures and visits of key EU institutions, think tanks and civil society organisations. The seminar included visits to:
➢ The European External Action Service (EEAS)
➢ The European Parliament
➢ The European Commission
➢ The European Endowment for Democracy
➢ Carnegie Europe

Applications are open for TEPSA’s EU@Work Summer Seminar on the European Neighbourhood Policy! Deadline for applications is Sunday 19 May 2019 (midnight).

Funded by the Europe for Citizens programme of the European Commission, this 4-day  seminar will offer 15 excellent Master students and graduates an opportunity to gain first-hand insights from researchers, EU practitioners, policymakers and officials on the current state of play and future prospects of the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP).

The seminar will take place in Brussels, at the heart of EU politics, from 9 to 12 July 2019.

The seminar is organised under the academic lead of Prof Frank Schimmelfennig (TEPSA & ETH Zurich) and will combine expert lectures and visits of key EU institutions, think tanks and civil society organisations. The seminar includes visits to:
➢ The European External Action Service (EEAS)
➢ The European Parliament
➢ The European Commission
➢ A Brussels-based NGO working on the EU Neighbourhood
➢ A leading European think tank

The participation fee for the total 4-day seminar is € 200. Participants will receive a reimbursement for their travel and/or accommodation costs up to € 200 upon presentation of the original receipts and tickets. Applications are open to both EU and non-EU citizens. However, we can only offer travel reimbursement to participants travelling from and to: the member states of the European Union; Albania; Bosnia and Herzegovina; Kosovo; Montenegro; Serbia; and the Republic of North Macedonia.

More About Europe for Citizens

TEPSA was a beneficiary of an Operating Grant awarded in the framework of the Europe for Citizens Programme of the European Union for the period 2018-2020. Within its work programme, TEPSA organised a number of events both in Brussels and in the Member States, in cooperation with its member institutes. The Operating grant also supported the statutory activities of the TEPSA Secretariat, such as the meetings of the governing bodies and TEPSA’s communication activities.
