TEPSA Student Contest 2020

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

With the support of the Europe for Citizens (EfC) Programme, the Trans European Policy Studies Association (TEPSA) is organising a student contest on the theme of “solidarity in the EU”, open to high-school, undergraduate, and graduate students from the TEPSA network and beyond. 

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The contest is open to high-schoolundergraduate, and graduate students:

  • Interested graduate students should submit a short policy brief (1000-1500 words), reflecting on the theme of solidarity in the EU. The policy brief should contain concrete recommendations to policymakers in the specific policy area chosen (see below). View our guidelines for more information.
  • Interested undergraduate and high-school students should submit a short essay (1500-2000 words) on the same theme. We recommend you consult the latest APA guidelines, which include standards to format your paper and your references.

PRIZES & RECOGNITION

The best papers will be published by TEPSA and three winning authors (one in each category: high-school, undergraduate, and graduate) will be invited to participate free of charge in one of TEPSA’s EU@Work seminars taking place in Brussels in July and October 2020, with travel and accommodation costs covered (up until €200).

More About Europe for Citizens

TEPSA was a beneficiary of an Operating Grant awarded in the framework of the Europe for Citizens Programme of the European Union for the period 2018-2020. Within its work programme, TEPSA organised a number of events both in Brussels and in the Member States, in cooperation with its member institutes. The Operating grant also supported the statutory activities of the TEPSA Secretariat, such as the meetings of the governing bodies and TEPSA’s communication activities.
