TEPSA-IESIR event: “Debate competition of university students”

TEPSA and its Slovak member, the Institute of European Studies and International Relations at Comenius University in Bratislava, organised together with the Slovak Debate Association a debate competition of university students on 11-12 of May.

The students lively debated on two topics, both related to the European Union.

The first topic was: “This government believe, that European Parliament is more harming to the legitimacy and credibility of the EU”.

The second topic was: “This government would as one of the founding member support the double speed Europe, where the core will be created by Western European States and other countries should only participate on some shared policies”.

TEPSA was a beneficiary of an Operating Grant awarded in the framework of the Europe for Citizens Programme of the European Union for the period 2018-2020. Within its work programme, TEPSA organised a number of events both in Brussels and in the Member States, in cooperation with its member institutes. The Operating grant also supported the statutory activities of the TEPSA Secretariat, such as the meetings of the governing bodies and TEPSA’s communication activities.
