TEPSA-Comenius University student discussion: “Myths on Migration”

On 18 November 2019, TEPSA and its Slovak member, the Institute of European Studies and International Relations at Comenius University in Bratislava, organised a student discussion on “Mythis on migration” with the support of the Europe for Citizens Programme.

Oľga Gyarfášová (IESIR, Comenius University) and Peter Stano (Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs), gave an introductory presentation on “Myths on migration in European and national perspective”, followed by a discussion with high school and university students on migration, its perception, the media discourse and related myths. 

The panel discussion was followed by some “student-to-student” talks discussing the migration issue.

TEPSA was a beneficiary of an Operating Grant awarded in the framework of the Europe for Citizens Programme of the European Union for the period 2018-2020. Within its work programme, TEPSA organised a number of events both in Brussels and in the Member States, in cooperation with its member institutes. The Operating grant also supported the statutory activities of the TEPSA Secretariat, such as the meetings of the governing bodies and TEPSA’s communication activities.
