From 14 to 18 May TEPSA organised its third and last PONT Career Skills Training, this time focused on fundraising and project management skills for young researchers.
Participants – young researchers from different national and disciplinary backgrounds – had the chance to meet with experienced academics and think tankers from the TEPSA network and high-level officials of the European Parliament and the European Commission.

Event Details
This training is aimed at young researchers who want to develop professional skills useful to pursue a career in a think tank or academia (including fund-raising and project-management skills). The training is part of the PONT project, co-funded by the Erasmus+/Jean Monnet programme of the European Union and aimed at building a bridge connecting young researchers with EU practitioners, in order to enhance their employability.
Participants will have the chance to meet with experienced academics from the TEPSA network and high-level officials of the main EU institutions, as well as with other young researchers from different national and disciplinary backgrounds.
The third PONT Career Skills Training for Master students, PHD students and young researchers, this year focusing on fundraising and project management, will take place from 14 May to 18 May 2018.

The final report of the five-day PONT ‘Career Skills Training’ on fundraising and project management skills is now available!
The third PONT Career Skills Training aimed at professionals and young postgraduate graduate students and took place on 14 – 18 May 2018.
The report outlines the objectives, programme and includes session reports from the participants, as well as a short overview of the evaluations.
The training was organised in the framework of the Professional Training on EU Affairs – PONT project, co-funded by the ERASMUS+/Jean Monnet programme.

Call for Applications: TEPSA’s Career Skills Training III (Brussels, 14-18 May 2018)
The call for application for TEPSA’s next Career Skills Training is out! The training will take place on 14-18 May 2018 in Brussels, and will focus on fundraising and project management skills for young researchers.
The deadline for applications is 25 March 2018.
What is the Career Skills Training?
A 5-day professional skills training on fundraising and project management for academic and think-tank research, taking place at the heart of EU politics in Brussels. The training includes visits to European institutions, lectures and hands-on activities with think-tankers, academics, journalists, EU officials and professional trainers. It is organised within the framework of project PONT – Professional Training on EU Affairs, co-funded the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
Who can apply?
– EU and non-EU young professional researchers with an interest in EU affairs/international relations/
political science/law/social sciences
– EU and non-EU students at postgraduate level interested in pursuing a career in research
How to apply?
Send a CV and cover letter before 25 March 2018 to pont@tepsa.eu. The participation fee is €200 for applicants from TEPSA member organisations (current or former students/researchers) and €400 for other applicants. Travel and accommodation costs can be reimbursed up to €250.
