At the RADAR Public Debate co-hosted by the Istituto Affari Internazionali and TEPSA, we gathered a group of 80 participants from 4 EU Member States to learn and share perspectives on disinformation on the issue of migration. Not only did attendees discuss the noxious impacts of disinformation on the public debate surrounding migration and asylum seekers (and consequently on the efficacy of policy-making in this area, a crucial topic as the EU searches for a new approach), but they also explored the methods and techniques used to spread disinformation. Participants were urged not only to reflect on the relationship between migration and political narratives, but also to provide policy-relevant solutions to address disinformation at the national and EU-level.
