Grassroots initiatives & disinformation: What do young people think?

This infographic is based on the answers given by the participants of the ChangingTIDE Media Literacy Incubator “Grassroots Initiatives & Disinformation”, hosted on Thursday, 30 July 2026, in Dublin, Ireland, by Dublin City University. The workshop gathered young Europeans, between 18 and 30 years old, to explore disinformation and how grassroots initiatives can help counter it.

At the beginning and end of the workshop, participants were asked for their opinions on a number of questions. To what degree do you think grassroots initiatives can strengthen communities against transnational disinformation? Which of the following is the most effective way to strengthen grassroots responses to transnational disinformation?

Read the infographic to learn more about their perspectives.
