TEPSA Board Elections, 2026-2029 term

TEPSA is seeking candidatures for new Board Members to serve in the coming three-year term of the TEPSA Board, starting January 2026.

TEPSA is managed by a Board, whose Chairperson and other members are appointed by the organisation’s General Assembly (Art. 18, TEPSA Statutes). TEPSA’s Statutes stipulate that the Board must consist of a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 members, including the Chairperson, Secretary-General, and a Treasurer. The current Board is composed of 12 members. In the current cycle, TEPSA seeks to elect 10 new members to join the sitting Chairperson, Lucia Mokrá, and the sitting Secretary-General, Jim Cloos. The Board meets at least twice a year and makes decisions about the strategic direction of the organisation by a majority of members present.

Board members may be academics, think-tankers, policy-makers, or officials who are motivated to contribute to TEPSA’s mission. They serve in a personal capacity and do not need to be affiliated with a TEPSA member institute. TEPSA aims for a Board that reflects geographical diversity, gender balance, and expertise across disciplines central to TEPSA’s work. Applicants must not be subject to conflicts of interest that may hinder the execution of their tasks. TEPSA notes sitting Treasurer Dries Callens’ availability to seek a new mandate as TEPSA’s Treasurer.

TEPSA promotes an open and democratic election process for the Board and encourages new candidates to come forward. Details about the principles and processes of candidacy to the TEPSA Board can be found in the application form.

Application process:

  • Step 1: Please send an expression of interest by 15 September 2025 at noon CEST to TEPSA’s Executive Director Mariam Khotenashvili (mariam.khotenashvili@tepsa.eu) and TEPSA’s Chairperson Lucia Mokrá (lucia.mokra@uniba.sk).

Please note that late submissions will not be accepted (Art. 14, TEPSA Statutes). All completed forms will be shared in advance with TEPSA delegates before the election. The final election date will be confirmed soon, in coordination with the programme of the Cypriot Pre-Presidency Conference (taking place at the end of October, tbc).
