Expertise for the European Parliament | 2024-2029 Framework Contracts

TEPSA has five decades of experience in European affairs and a history of successfully coordinating research projects on behalf of European institutions and other international stakeholders. With particular reference to the European Parliament (EP), TEPSA builds on 15 years of experience delivering studies through Framework Contracts (FWCs) and ad hoc requests. In general, FWCs are multi-annual contracts concluded between EU institutions and external contractors, such as TEPSA, for specific services. The below ranking indicates TEPSA’s place among other contractors (up to six per contract).

By coordinating various research outputs, such as studies, briefings, in-depth analyses or workshops, TEPSA enables researchers from across Europe to inform the work of EP Parliamentary Committees and Subcommittees (e.g., Foreign Affairs, International Trade, Development, Security and Defence, Human Rights).

For the ongoing legislature (2024-2029), TEPSA is proud to hold multiple FWCs to deliver foreign policy expertise to the EP’s Directorate-General for External Policies of the Union (DG EXPO). Most particularly, TEPSA coordinates research for the following FWCs on:

  • Foreign policy issues (first place);
  • EU Enlargement, Eastern Neighbourhood, Northern policies (first place);
  • Southern Neighbourhood and Greater Middle East (first place);
  • Sustainable development and Humanitarian aid (first place);
  • Security and Defence (second place);
  • Trade (third place);
  • Human Rights and Democracy (first place).

TEPSA strongly believe that the contribution of specialised expertise is crucial for shaping sound policy decisions, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of legislative processes.
