VIADUCT Teaching Award

The VIADUCT network is delighted to announce the second VIADUCT Teaching Award. The objective of the Award is to recognise outstanding teaching in the fields of EU-Turkey relations and the Future of the EU (new forms of relations between the EU-27 and neighbouring countries).

Deadline for nominations: 5 February 2019

Teaching excellence comes in many forms and may include, but is not limited to:

i) inspirational lectures, given with clarity and verve, inspiring a new generation to study the E

ii) engaging and inclusive seminar teaching that allows students to question and critique texts
and interpretations of EU-Turkey relations and/or new forms of relations between the EU
and neighboring countries

iii) simulation games or online courses.

The intention is to reach out beyond the VIADUCT Network and spread best practice in the field wherever it is taught from Vancouver to Vladivostok. Nominations are welcome from those teaching beyond the VIADUCT network.

The Award of €1500 will be made at the VIADUCT annual conference in Istanbul 20-22 March 2019.

More About VIADUCT

VIADUCT was a project aiming at creating an academic network linking universities and think-tanks from the EU, Turkey and the neighbourhood to build knowledge on EU-Turkey Cooperation. Coordinated by Prof Wolfgang Wessels and Dr Funda Tekin at CETEUS, University of Cologne, the Jean Monnet Network VIADUCT was launched on 1st September 2017 and ran for a period of three years till 31st August 2020.
