Prof. Dr. Giselle Bosse is Full Professor, holder of a Personal Chair in EU External Democracy Support and Jean Monnet Chair in EU International Relations at Maastricht University. She is Co-Director of the Centre for European Research in Maastricht (CERiM) and a Visiting Professor at the College of Europe (Bruges) and the Diplomatic Academy in Yerevan, Armenia. She has been Principal Investigator of multiple research projects funded by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) on democracy, civic participation and EU external action, and has led work packages in several Horizon Europe consortia, including InvigoratEU, and EMBRACE. She represents Maastricht University in a range of international academic and policy networks, including TEPSA, and is an Associate Fellow at the European Democracy Hub (Carnegie Europe & European Partnership for Democracy). Prof. Bosse has published extensively on EU democracy support, EU enlargement, democratisation and authoritarianism in Eastern Europe, and EU foreign policy, with a particular focus on Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia and Armenia. She regularly contributes to renowned think tanks and policy fora, including Chatham House, the Atlantic Council and Clingendael. She has authored several commissioned studies for the European Parliament, regularly provides expertise for EU institutions, and advises the Dutch government on EU enlargement and Eastern Partnership affairs.
