Debunking myths about the EU – EU Reality Check Series

In 2026, TEPSA launched the second edition of “EU Reality Check”, a social media campaign aimed at debunking fake news about the EU and providing citizens with fact-based information.

This 10-part campaign is divided into two mini-series and disseminated via TEPSA’s Instagram and LinkedIn channels. Both series tackle disinformation on a variety of issues, from the EU’s relations with the Eastern Neighbourhood to Russia’s war in Ukraine, migration policy, abortion rights, and school curricula. Each post highlights EU instruments designed to support European citizens against the increasing pressures of the current geopolitical era.

In a context of hybrid warfare, where facts are constantly under attack, EU Reality Check invites readers to beware of fake news and inform themselves about the role and values of the EU.
