Extremist ecosystems and disinformation: What do young people think?

This infographic is based on the answers given by the participants of the ChangingTIDE Media Literacy Incubator “Extremist ecosystems and disinformation”, hosted on Thursday, 25 June 2026, in Vienna, Austria, by OIIP. The workshop gathered young Europeans, between 18 and 30 years old, to explore how disinformation and the rise of extremism are affecting all of us.

At the beginning and end of the workshop, participants were asked for their opinions on a number of questions related to the information ecosystem. In particular, they were asked to reflect on the relationship between disinformation and the presence of extremist groups and identify the actors that can fight the rise of disinformation.
