ChangingTIDE’s Media Literacy Incubator organised by the International Centre for Defence and Security (ICDS), will take place on 27 August in Tartu, Estonia. The event will bring together young people aged 18 to 30 in a workshop aimed at providing them with the skills to recognise and combat fake news.
This all-day event will include:
- Training on disinformation, media influence, and counter disinformation policy and practice
- An introduction to media literacy and media literacy interventions
- A session on propaganda and information attacks
Who should apply?
We are looking for 18–30-year-olds from a range of EU member states (or countries for the CERV programme).
We are especially interested in bringing together young adults with a clear interest in understanding and addressing disinformation, foreign information manipulation and interference, and their wider impact on the security environment. Participants may come from a diverse range of professional, academic, civic, voluntary, media, policy, technology, or community backgrounds, but should share an interest in developing practical responses to information threats.

To apply, please fill in the Google Form along with a CV and brief statement of interest. The deadline is 14 August 2026, with selected participants informed on 17 August.
After the event, participants will have a chance to enter the Changemakers Programme, a central innovation of the ChangingTIDE project. Changemakers, a cohort of 20 motivated young people, will undergo a structured mentorship programme resulting in the creation of awareness-raising campaigns to address disinformation.
