Following the publication of ActEU’s “Report (including policy recommendations) on the patterns of objective and subjective representation across countries and across parties within countries“, TEPSA produced an infographic exploring citizens representation and its consequences in European countries.

The report, authored by Matilde Ceron, Zoe Lefkofridi, Nayla Escribano, Laura Morales, Etftichia Teperoglou, Alexandros Gkotinakos, Carles Pamies, Yuma Ando, Laura Kulterer, Sarah Thandi Dippenaar & Ermela Gianna, investigates the perception of representation in national political parties and parliaments by population group, and the implications this may have for political debate, as well as the concrete changes that may result.

Do European Citizens feel represented by their national parties? Are young people really underrepresented, and in which countries? And ultimately, how essential is it to have good representation? This infographic responds to these questions by summing up the report’s key arguments.
